Hooray, it’s March! I don’t know about you, but the promise of lawns slowly morphing from dead-winter-brown to welcoming green is a tiny thrill I’m happy to look foward to. Although our winter here in Ohio was one of the most mild in history, I’m still ready for the promise of sunshine every day that comes with spring.
A girl can hope, right?
March brings more than spring. It also brings us several historical-based monthly observances (Women’s History Month and National Peanut Month, for starters), the focus of which is Irish History Month for this blog post.
You don’t have to be Irish to realize the great contribution Irish immigrants made to this country over the years, and I’ve found five excellent freebies at Teachers Pay Teachers to help you convey that to your students in many ways. See if there’s anything here that will work for you, and keep your chin toward the sunshine 🙂
