SOoooo…listening to John Mayer isn’t happening constantly. Mainly because I can’t find my CDs, and especially my favorite, Room for Squares 🙁 But it’s a sign that I’m supposed to be when I hear him *everywhere*…he’s trying to get my attention, I think 😉
Loving my classes. Even though I loop 6-7-8, my mixture changes up each year when kids test out and new ones test back in. Right now, my groups are really nice (for the most part). Especially wonderful are my 8th graders, a few of whom I thought would make me tear my hair out but are proving to be very nice gentlemen.
Thinking…about my brother. Today (September 3rd) would have been his 36th birthday. He’s my little brother forever though he passed away three years ago in November from complications from the Type 1 diabetes he fought for most of his life. I have been thinking a lot of him lately…more than the usual once or twice a day.
More hours in a day, please! I’ve got three blogs going, a weight-loss challenge I’m working on, three or so articles requested by editors, stuff I want to make for our reading and ESL notebooks…and only so many hours to do so. At least I’m still excited to do stuff, so that’s a plus!
Needing some fall weather. Ohio lately has been more rainforest than midwest. I’m not even joking. I walk Miss O. at 5:30 in the mornings, and the last two weeks have been so humid we’re both dripping by the time we get back (only 10 minutes…she struggles to go further). GROSS. I hate humidity and heat. I want a nice, crisp fall day…or days…
Travel…well, since I just planned spring break (a cruise with the hubby), and I get five extra days in Florida (which I don’t particularly care for, see the heat and humidity above…lol), I’m going somewhere I’ve always wanted to go…Key West. Lots of cool reasons why. I’ll send pictures 🙂 London and Spain, because they’ve been on my list since jr. high.
I’m out! Here’s wishing you all a great September…
