Happy Friday, all. Last night was our first parent conferences of the year. I like to call it my 13 hour day, since I generally get to my room in the mornings by 6:30 a.m., and don’t clock out until near 7 p.m. So you know I really mean happy Friday today!
I haven’t had a chance to join Kacey over at Doodlebugs Teaching for her 5 for Friday linky in quite some time, but I miss checking out all the great ideas everyone shares there. Kind of like virtual teacher’s lounge of good ideas, I always click out with something new to try, either in class or at home.
For this week, I’m choosing to share some of my favorite freebie posts, and I’m going to start with a freebie I’m a little behind in sharing. Some of you repeat visitors might remember my Lessons and Loves printables from last school year. It’s a very simple, printable weekday journal for teachers to keep track of those little moments in the classroom that bring us smiles, joy and memories but that we’re often too busy to jot down. You can read all about it on the first page, so check out a couple sample pages, then download below!

That was so much fun, I think a second dose of printables is in order! I’ve been in love with my planner project all summer. Happily, it’s followed me into fall, where I’m loving putting together a variety of planner spreads in one of my several planners. Right now, I’m taking the fall color scheme into my planners thanks to free planner printables I’ve culled from Pinterest.
I originally blogged about this last Sunday in the “Plan With Me Sundays” linky. You can find the original post here, but if you just want to see the printables, here you are:
Over summer break, I started following several new Instagrammers I’ve fallen in love with for their sense of design and color. Ladies like Christy (@ThePlannerSociety), Cori (@TheResetGirl) and Marion (@MarionSmithDesigns) seem to inspire me with every single pretty post they put up. The thing is, I believe beauty becomes more beautiful when it’s shared. Last week, I started a Thursday series here on the blog to do just that: share pretty stuff. You can see the original post here, or check out a couple of the freebies below.
Those aren’t all the pretty things I’ve got to share! I’ve also been spending time surfing Pinterest (@MorrowTeaches) for some fun fall crafts for both my home and classroom. We’re going to make this leaf and bead mobile in class soon:
Even better, yesterday’s ‘share pretty stuff’ blog post came with the theme of crafts. In addition to classroom ideas, there are some crafty food projects…
…and my favorite, the Adult Coloring Pages. Is there anything more creatively peaceful than a handful of markers, a cup of coffee and some quiet time (*not included 🙂 ) to fill a beautiful design with color all your own? A few of my fall favorites:
and several more for you to choose from:
Last but not least, in case you’re still wanting *more* printables, here’s a throwback to a summer Pinterest Pick 3 linky full of colorful, printable freebies:
I do believe that’s all I have for you on this wonderful Friday. Is there any other kind of Friday? No matter how you spend your weekend, make the world a prettier place by passing time doing what you love!
