We’ve had a rough week here in Ohio. By rough, I mean freezing-below-zero-temperatures-and-ridiculous-wind-chills. How ridiculous? Wednesday was our only day of classes…our first (and only, so far) of four weeks of standardized testing.
But guess what? I’m not complaining. I will never be one to say I miss school on snow days, because I enjoy giving time and attention to lesson plans, creating materials and even having time for my house. During the school year, we are so busy and tired at the end of the days that we just barely manage to keep up with chores and organizing tasks. But with an hour here or there between grading and catching up on school work on a snow day, my house is getting some attention.
I can’t get too wild and crazy with my home projects given that everything has to be done indoors (-12 temperatures dictate that!) but I have definitely created a mini to-do list for June when the weather will be far nicer and time will truly be my own. I’m focusing more on deep cleaning a few areas of the house that really need it. Don’t you feel a sense of calm when a cluttered area is organized? I know I do.
With all that, my Five for Friday posts are all Pinterest posts inspiring me in one way or another. So many ideas…so few snow days. Enjoy!
