If school year Mondays were as easy-going as summer Mondays, the world would be a better place, I think!
Hope you’re enjoying your summer break for however long it may last. I know I’ve gotten so much accomplished both personally and in my prep for the upcoming school year in just the last few weeks. It’s such a good feeling, because June is the only month where life is slow and easy for us around here. Starting in July the busy-ness starts again, and August…well, I think you know how crazy *that* month can be.
If you’ve followed my blog lately, you’ve seen that I’ve been into all kinds of planner projects. I’ve got a family weekly scrapbook planner, a fitness planner, a bullet planner (for the day-to-day) and a couple of new ones in the works. It has brought an amazing, focused quality to my day and my to-do lists. I think it’s part of the reason I’ve accomplished so much–because I’ve sat down to think about what I’m doing in the mornings, then had a short review session in the evenings.
I really want to work to incorporate this idea of focusing on one day at a time into my life when the crazy comes back in the form of my classroom, so for this month, I’ve tweaked one of my past freebies into a new form that I think will help. Again, I’m only doing one Monday-Made-It, but I love this one.
And I made enough to share 😉 It’s a free printable journal for the month of July. I know lots of us take vacations, visit family, or just hang out and be lazy during this month, and they’re some of the best days of the year. Why not take a minute from each day to write down your memory, a story, or just something fun to keep those happy moments close for reflection?
That’s why I made the Lessons and Loves journal. Unlike the previous ones that focused on us as teachers, this one is us as people. (What? Teachers are PEOPLE?!) Yes. Us as people who love to hang out with our own families, thoughts, and time to recharge and give our best to students when school rolls around.
Here’s the cover for July:

And best of all, you can click on ANY of these journal images to download the *FREE* journal from Google Docs.
I’d love to know what you think or if you have suggestions. And I hope your July is full of memories 🙂
