Happy summer and welcome to my new blog!
I married a Morrow (24 years ago, also a teacher!), and I teach middle school. Now that we’ve got the preliminaries out of the way…
While this is my newest blogging adventure, I am not new to blogging. I’ve been blogging for longer than some of you have probably been alive (ok, maybe not *that* long…since the late 90s) in a variety of venues. I had a very popular blog for writers for many years (now defunct as I no longer write fiction) and, currently an education blog where I try to write resource posts to accompany blog posts that I write for a number of national education blogs and websites. It’s in serious need of updates since I’ve had several published pieces in the last few months and have slacked on the posting, but that’s what summer is for, right? For teachers to catch up on our other jobs? 🙂
By the way, that blog is here: www.CanWeJustRead.com. Don’t judge me because it needs refreshed!
Even though I love teaching, researching and writing, I also love the idea of a little corner of the web where I can get cozy with readers, teachers and other creative minds. I’ve wanted to start a personal teaching blog for a *long* time, and now that summer’s given me a quick breather, I’m going to do just that. I love teaching, talking about teaching, reading, planning and everything that goes with it, so do join me!
