Happy warm, spring Sunday 🙂 Here’s hoping that where ever you may be, the sun is shining. Time for spring!
This is my first official post from my freshly updated blog. I am going to miss my Blogspot design because it was so stinkin’ cute, but Blogger just didn’t want to cooperate with the things I have in mind. Enough about that–let’s get started on the Teaching Trio’s Sunday Scoop!
(I am totally loving that typewrite font, BTW. How about you?)
3 things I have to do:
*find a good book to read for our mini-roadtrip: Later this morning, hubby and I are taking one of our first (maybe only?) school-year roadtrips to Indianapolis for the evening. He’s always been a huge Bob Seger fan, and when his tour stopped in Columbus, his basketball coaching schedule didn’t allow him to get to the arena. So for Valentine’s Day, I got us seats in Indianapolis for tonight. We have never taken a day off school to do anything fun together in 25 years of marriage (!!) so this is a first. We’ll sit for a bit and watch basketball, hit the concert and (gasp!) sleep in a little on Monday morning before coming home. And I need a book for the drive. I’ve got a large pile to choose from…I’ll let you know!
*finish my St. Patrick’s Day web lesson: I know, it’s late to be doing St. Patrick’s Day stuff. But my classes have been thoroughly absorbed in learning about Ireland and St. Patrick, and they are especially loving the web-reading lessons, so I’ve got one more fun lesson for them to finish after they complete their writing assignments tomorrow (with a sub). I think we are going to plan next week to build leprechaun traps using math and science (it’s only a 3-day week) to end that lesson as we start spring break.
*finish some upcoming blog posts: I’ve been invited to my first big linky party with a huge giveaway in a week and I have a couple of posts to put together for that. Maybe I’ll just type on the way to Indy today…
2 things I hope to do:
*enjoy our time out of town: self-explanatory but I tend to over-worry. I’ve got to let it go…lol.
*get Miss O. out for a walk: again, self-explanatory. She won’t know what to do being stuck with her brother for the night…
1 thing I’m happy to do:
*Go away with the hubby: We travel together so rarely that it’s sort of like a long date when we do. We’re also going on part of our spring breaks together for the first time in over 10 years, so I’ll probably get my fill of him soon 😉 kidding!
Wishing you a wonderfully warm week!
