What a fun date for all of us who are amused by little things…such as counting by 5s…lol!
And Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there in whatever capacity you mother. I have often said that I only had one child because I have spent my life taking care of other people’s children every single day. Mothers come in all forms 🙂
While I have big plans for my blog this summer, right now I’m just finding myself able to keep up through a linky party here and there, but Teaching Trio’s Sunday Scoop just happens to be my favorite 🙂
3 things I have to do
…make a gigant-o-saurus batch of Chipotle marinade. I found this recipe via Pinterest (my obsession!) and tried it for fun. Wow! The boys have not stopped raving about it. It couldn’t be more simple–chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, honey, garlic, onion, cilantro…zapped in a blender and marinates everything you can imagine. I have 3 jars of chipotles, which means a bulk of 9 batches. I think my Vitamix can handle that, and it’ll keep us in marinade probably through June.
…play around with some monthly blog linky ideas. Reading through various blog posts and linkies, I’m seeing lots of teachers post the same things that they want…to exercise daily, to have a go-to meal plan for dinners, to get organized. Each one of these makes me think…”Wow, what if we put our energies together for these things and shared our successes?”…I know I’d be more motivated seeing the success of others. I am not sure how it will all come out, though, or where to even start. My gut feeling right now is that so many of us want to incorporate daily exercise/activity into our lives with the upcoming summer season…am I right? Please give me feedback on this: would a workout/weight loss/activity linky be of interest to you? How would you see it helping you?
…write down my weekly workout/menu/to do plan. I am attempting to become more organized…lol. It might only last one more week, but I’m on a two-week roll right now. I found some super-cute organizer pages at Etsy, which has helped. I’ve got our dinners planned for the week, just need to jot it all down in order to eliminate the constant “what now?!” stress.
2 things I hope to do
…read. Still on the Patton book. I really gotta get it done as I have another book I’ve finished but need to write a book review for. I think I promised the website editor I’d have it to him by this week…
…exercise. This is actually a ‘have to do’, but it didn’t fit 🙂 Not sure if it’ll be a bike or walk or T25 workout. Depends on the weather.
1 thing I’m happy to do
…buy myself a French Coffee Press. It *is* Mother’s Day, right? And I’m a mom, right? And I know my boys didn’t get me anything (they never do!), right? I’ve had my eye on a French press for some time because I am worn out on the Keurig K-Cups not giving me full flavor. I like my coffee (and my men…hahah!) strong. A friend recommended the press and I’ve been researching. I think it’s time to try…
Where ever you are, enjoy your Sunday! Only two more Monday wakeups for this school year for me. How close are you?
Don’t forget to give me your ideas/suggestions for a weekly workout/exercise linky. I’d love to hear what you think….
