Umm, not so much. Especially because I tend to get heat-induced migraines and I am *not* about to do that. Fortunately, the kiddo helped me do some of the bigger chores earlier today so just a few remain. I’m a little late to the posting today because the hubby didn’t feel up to our Starbucks date this morning, which is my usual Sunday Scoop time. But no worries–I’ve got plenty of scoop to add now!
3 things I have to do
*Call mom. Self-explanatory. Putting it on the ‘have to do’ because I can’t procrastinate if it’s there…lol 😉
*TrashTrashTrash. Tomorrow is trash day. I have vowed that this summer, we’re getting rid of as much ‘stuff’ as possible. Last week was the basement clutter (one of several trips). This week’s trash haul is all the stuff that we’ve put behind our shed over the last 10 years because it has nowhere else to go. A broken wheel barrel, a lot of old 2x4s from various DIY projects, planters we don’t use…you get the idea. All to the curb, friends. I’m telling you, there’s an emotional high you get when you do a major declutter. I’m loving it!
*camp week activity planning. The summer camp where I work as a program director is quickly approaching (the last week of July). The camp’s daily activities are planned, but one evening is dedicated to new games I’ve found on Pinterest and Facebook. I have like 135 ideas collected and I need to narrow it down to about six for that evening. It’s a challenge I can’t wait to do, and I want to finish tonight so can send those off to the camp director tomorrow.
2 things I hope to do
*rearrange bedroom furniture. The spare bedroom is in need of some feng shui’ing. The easiest way to do this, for me, is to rearrange the bed and dresser. The problem is that the bed is an antique from my grandparents and requires two people to move it at the same time, or the frame collapses. The kid is out with friends and the hubby is napping. Maybe that will be on my list tomorrow…
*take a few photos for my Heirloom journal. I’ve had an idea in my head for YEARS for this journal. My mom’s side of the family has tons of antiques passed down for several generations, and I have wanted to create a scrapbook/journal of each of these items. Since I just got my Selphy photo printer (O-M-G, I love the thing!) I really have no excuse not to start. I’m giving myself a goal of doing just one page a week, with the hopes that I’ll do more than one. I know I won’t get it all done this summer break, but I want to get a chunk done. Along with the photos of each antique, I am planning to write a short blurb about the item, its use, and mini-family tree to where it came from. Wish me luck…
1 thing I’m happy to do
*update my ongoing bullet journal project. My original bullet journal planner project has morphed into two separate journals. One is my daily to-do tasks with my bullet journal. The second is my weekly artistic, scrap-booky journal. What I need to do today is two-fold: catch up on all my tasks from this week and map out next week, and finish the second half of my weekly journal. Here’s the first half of my week, from my artsy journal:
and a sample page from my bullet journal:
And with that, I’ve got work to do! How was your Sunday? Sending you good vibes for a great week ahead 🙂
