Ugh! I feel so rotten signing on and seeing how long it’s been since I last posted…especially since I made such a big deal with myself about making a regular posting schedule and sticking to it. I guess putting a post for the Sunday Scoop linky with the Teaching Trio counts, doesn’t it?! 😉
3 Things I Have to Do
…sit down and plan this week’s blog posts. I think that’s self-explanatory from my displeasure above, but I really have to do this…and stick to it. I’ve got so many half-finished posts and ideas backlogged, with no real excuse that they’re not posted. I am cutting myself a little slack, but only for this month. January is a notorious time-sucker for me because half of my week is spent keeping scorebook for hubby’s basketball team. Two more weeks (and possibly the first in February for tournaments) and I should be done…and no more excuses (lol). I hope that translates into more posts.
For those of you who plan and maintain a consistent blogging schedule, do you have any advice or considerations? I’m all ears 🙂
…set up my weekly schedule. This plays into the blog posting, but takes into account a couple of new goals I’ve just decided to get really serious about. I know these next 3 weeks are not my own, with all the basketball stuff, so I have to plot out what to do on which day, because otherwise I’ll just pull up Candy Crush and waste my life away…haha.
…clean the dining room. My son, the journalist, and I, both love the dining room table for writing. However, the books and papers in that room multiply like rabbits. It drains my energy to see all that stuff. Today is THE day for getting rid of stuff. I have a box for thrift store donations, a bag for trash and very little patience for any of it…a great combination.
Two Things I Hope To Do
…Pilates or walk. I just got an Aeropilates rebounder this week and love it. I’ve worked out only once, but played on it a couple of times. Part of that weekly schedule I mentioned above involves incorporating three workouts a week on my new machine, and I am positive I can do it…I just need to. If the weather improves at all today, I might opt for a long walk instead of pilates because I have to take advantage of the sun. You know how that goes in winter in Ohio, right?!
…clean the kid’s room. He’s on assignment at a basketball tournament through tomorrow night, so his room is mine for the cleaning. I cleaned it not long ago, actually, but need to go back through and just TOSS stuff. What’s funny is that I always worry I will toss something he wanted to keep, but so far, he always thanks me for getting rid of things he didn’t know he had.
One thing I’m Happy to do
…have tomorrow off, to catch up on anything I don’t get done today. Or, if the miraculous happens, get started with my Tuesday work on Monday. I love Monday holidays!
